Guys Dilemma, just bought the above but they were bought with pedals in the crank, should be with me next week I think they will be seized in, so what do I need to do to get them out (I'm hopeful that the Frenchman tapped the french crank out to 9/16ths before installing Italian pedals!) Some good advice I feel is needed for next week, thankyou and Best Regards Problem to Solve

I'd start with a good penetrating oil such a Kroil if in fact they are frozen. Then apply some heat (hair dryer) locally to the crank eye, keeping the pedal shaft shielded as much as possible while turning the pedal out. A very long pedal wrench for greater leverage may help as well. This may not be needed, I was pleasantly surprised recently when I bought a Viscount rear hub from eBay with the freewheel screwed on. I gambled and found it was only on finger tight. Fingers crossed you will have good luck as well. Best, john "wheelson"

If you are in the UK then I'd say go and buy a can of PlusGas (despite the name, it's a penetrating oil spray). It's head and shoulders above similar type stuff.
They make it not too far from me

Thanks chaps
Seller has confirmed that the pedals are French thread as are the crank so only issue for me is that I want a 9/16ths pedal set for my GS campy crank
So may have to look for another pair
