Here's a very nice Viscount Metro on eBay in the UK. Blurry photos but it looks to be in excellent condition, as the seller says. The metallic turquoise colour might not be to everyone's taste though. Three speed.

Believe me when I say I really am trying so hard not to look/think about that one. Although the pics are blurry, I get the feeling that it's a very nice well looked after bike.
I am also on the 'one in one out' policy.....
I have not one, but 2 'shopping' bikes, so this would really be a bit much...

Does look fabulous. Shame they all seem to be smaller frames rather than 23"

Tempting but there's no where to put it. Also, it's unlikely to get used.

Wow..and £9 postage! Bargain.
Good on yer Kev. I just knew you'd been hankering for a pub bike for ages. This one was worth waiting for it looks to be in 'time machine' condition.
If it were not for the fact that I didn't need it, have no room , and have no money (after a reckless guitar purchase- I'll post a pic in the 'off topic' section ), then I'd have loved this !! haha

I'll believe it when it arrives. I wouldn't be surprised if the selker doesn't try to back out. You'd think with £9 postage that he'd be losing money.

Still not turned up, I suspect the seller realised that he’d never be able to post it for £9.

Got a refund this morning so I guess it’s not going to turn up. I had no idea where I was going to store it anyway

Guess it will be re-listed soon with a more realist postage price on.............as a matter of interest are sellers actually allowed to do that on E Bay?

Guess it will be re-listed soon with a more realist postage price on.............as a matter of interest are sellers actually allowed to do that on E Bay? Well, I've seen many things done on ebay, but not sure if they are 'allowed'? The 'correct' course of action here would be for seller to mail Kev and say 'sorry, I made a mistake with postage, can we work something out?'. The 'honourable' thing to do would be the seller takes a bit of a hit on the price of the bike to augment postage, and still has the sale. If not the buyer could leave negative feedback. But ultimately the seller can just click a button that says that the item isn't for sale as it was damaged before postage, or some such thing like that. If they discussed it, 'off ebay' and just went direct through Paypal then the seller could save 13% on sale price anyway, and put that portion into the postage, thereby both being happy.

I got my money back and the bike never turned up Jem. I suspect it was never sent. I sent the vendor a note saying I’d be willing to pay extra for a better courier if they got the bike back, but I’m not holding my breath.

That's a shame. Just when you find the 3 speed pub bike you've been after too!
