Cliff, If they are really Dura Ace bars (I'm not doubting you, just surprised they should crop up in connexion with Viscount parts) and new old stock, you would have to be unlucky to get less than £100 for them on eBay, but do research them by looking at past auction results. Viscount bungs are unlikely to add anything to the price and I would sell those separately. These were the only Dura Ace bars produced during the 70s or 80s (actually 1981-84) and were part of the 'aero' group - ax Need to be sure which 600 series the parts belong to. The seat post and levers would I guess each be in the region of £20 - £50 if new old stock. The rubbers can go for £20+ on their own if in perfect condition. The 600ax ones go for the most, but they have clear logos. Check Velobase to identify the model. The link should stake you to the search results for 600 levers and seat posts from the 70s and 80s. Not sure about RS. Was used in the 70s for a steel rear derailleur if I recall correctly. I think there's a much newer family of road components called RS which are decent everyday bits. Hope this helps. Nice components!

Thanks on closer inspection the Dura ace bars have engraved one side of bar next to stem Road Champion opposite side Sakae Custom the top stem has a green like hexagon disc Allen key.The brake handles Shimano 600 red dot with lots of holes in lever. As is the other set with the brown rubbers the same.
Seat post looks to be 600 ax from your chart.
Both levers look to be model 6100 ones off the bars have rubbers in brown like new
Rear derailleur just says Shimano RS on back VIA
Thank you.

As i said my dad and myself worked at viscount potters bar he built his own bike a lightweight 600 series in lavender he chose some of the best parts available that's why there are parts left over as necessary forever updating to better components. Hope that clarifies the new old components. Cheers Cliff.

Hi. Anyone got a vintage viscount cycle jersey it's got viscount logo and KP crisps logo.on back and front and on sleeves.colour blue/red Only ask as I have just found such a shirt at my parents house. Just wondered if anyone had a photo to compare it. Also found a blue tie with viscount logo. I will be putting them up on eBay soon, don't know the value so it will find its level there. I only know it must be as rare as hens teeth as I can't find a shirt to compare. Any help would be very helpful. Cheers Cliff.

He hasn't dropped by in a while but I can message him. In fact , I might have a pic of Ray wearing it from last years Rally. I will have a dig around tonight. I also think there is a clipping from an old magazine on this site with the viscount team wearing them. I just can't seem to find it when I search through though. It could be one of the pictures that was lost in the 'Great Photobucket Debacle of '17'

Hi Sooper8 That would be great if you could find a pic or more info. Obviously I want to do a bit of research before listing on eBay. I want to make sure it's correct get the price right and let it go to a good home. I think this has got to be mega rare. Look forward to info. Cheers Cliff.

Cliff - the issue with many of the old shirts is that they fit 36" chest super slim athletes , so although people might seek them out, the reality is that they aren't that practical. I seem to recall that Ray paid £20 something for his, and he breathed in throughout the whole of the Rally.
I came across a big stash of wool retro race jerseys in Italy a couple of years back, superb looking things of all colours and styles. I picked out about 3 or 4 with a view to doing a deal - The guy wanted about 14 euros per shirt, so I thought if I took four for 40 euro I would be a happy man...anyway, tried one on and my wife just laughed at how tight it was...every single one of them would have been great for me...if were still 19 years old.
But good luck with the sale
