On eBay UK for £365 or offer from a dealer of some sort. In the classic lime green and almost mint apart from some paint chips. Has the later type of frame without the engraved seat stay tops and with the plain top tube brake cable eyes. The drop-outs are plain too - mostly they're SunTour on these bikes. A bit pricy, but might be worth it (Eroica ride?)

I saw this and wondered if anyone was going to gift themselves and early Christmas present? Who knows what the 'make an offer' button response would be? I would start very low and see what happens (you get 3 goes I think?). For the record, I am not even thinking of making an offer.

Watch out for those uniglide cassettes if you make an offer. I found it very hard to find replacement cogs at a reasonable price so you might be looking to replace the hub or rear wheel for even more money. Otherwise, a very nice bike!

Yes, it certainly plays to shop around and wait for a good price before buying Uniglide cogs. One benefit of Uniglide is that, unlike Hyperglide, the cogs can be flipped over to give double the life (apart from the last, screw-on one). And there are no issues about specific cogs only working in conjunction with other ones, which you get with HG, so you can buy separately with confidence. incidentally, for some reason, there seem to be many more Uniglide cogs available in the USA than this side of the pond. I've never found myself unable to use a UG-equipped bike (and I have several) for want of cogs. At the end of the day, HG cogs can always be modified to fit by filing or grinding out the small spline, provided you have a working screw-on cog for the last one. I've done that when I wanted a big cog for hill-climbing. For more information on UG and work-arounds see Sheldon Brown (of course).
