This is in the best shape out of all the ones I've found. The seller informed me all was original except fork, pedals and rear wheel. I questioned him on the paint and he said it is the original paint. I've never seen one that didn't have the primary color as white. This paint is in great shape for it's age. I have to say this is my favorite out of all my bikes, unfortunately I need a step ladder to get on the saddle. flic.kr/s/aHsm4o4MrVDid different colors represent different models? Enjoy! Vinnie

Vinnie: Nice collection!! That last one is a looker. I finally got my first today after lusting after them since seeing them advertised in Bicycling magazine over 40 years ago. If you ever feel the need to sell some parts, I sure could use an original rear wheel assembly and pedals! Thanks!

Vinnie - I'd forgotten that you'd asked the question about the different colours on the aerospace. In truth I was waiting for a better qualified person to come along and answer it and it went out of my mind.
I can't recall which was which now, but each one had slightly different components (but then again, this means very little out of the Viscount factory , as they often hastily put whatever components on they had to hand due to supply issues). Also, first hand evidence is that some customers picked a bike in the shop and then specifically asked for tubs or clichers and if that model wasn't in in their size, then the bike shop would just do a swap of the wheels to make a sale if you see what I mean? Therefore the next buyer would buy a bike that should be sold with tubs, but came with clinchers. or vice versa
So for example the black and grey had clinchers, whereas the red would have been tubs...I think?

I have a Reg Harris Lambert Grand Prix that has a paint scheme which is identical to yours, or very close to it. There are pictures of my bike, (also a tall one,) in this forum. It is true that most of the later "Aerospace" style Lamberts I have seen used white as the main color, with other colors used as "accents."
After looking at your bike a second time, I see that your bike appears to be an aerospace-type welded frame. My bike uses the same color scheme, but it is made using the older, lugged-type frame. Perhaps this paint scheme is a carryover scheme that was used as the "Aerospace" bikes were coming on line.
Were the lugged-frame bikes made by Viking and the "Aerospace" frames made by Trusty? Does anyone know?
That is a nice bike you found. Congratulations.
