Viscount Mixte in Northolt, Middlesex, UK (eBay)

Could be a hack bike as is or the basis for something better.  Victim of an unfortunate respray, although judging from what is revealed underneath n some places, yellow might have been the original colour?  Judging from the engraved ends to the seat stays, this would be a lugged Aerospace frame from c.1981, which agrees with the quoted date of purchase. Forged drop outs and alloy wheels I think plus Altus RD suggest a good quality bike.  Pity the photos are low quality and don't show the chain wheel & crank. I wonder if the straight bars were original? I would have thought not.

I could collect from Northolt if anyone was interested in the bike.  It's not too far and reachable by public transport from my place.
