Between these 4 bikes I should be able to build 1 to all original. Let me explain what I'm doing. I inherited the 1st Lambert and I want to restore it to as much back to original that I can. Over the last few months I been watching craigslist like crazy to find deals on Lamberts. I now have these four and only missing a few original parts. www.flickr.com/photos/148611712@N04/albums

You might need a minimum number of posts (10?) before you can embed images. But your Flckr page says there are no images uploaded yet anyway...

Welcome Vinnie! You can embed pics as soon as you join. I just went to your Flickr page and can't see anything there either - it looks like there might be a problem that end? Looking forward to seeing them

Nice to see so many Lamberts all together. A few years ago I remember seeing on eBay in the USA someone offering three Lamberts for sale together - one ordinary, one Reg Harris version and one Viking version. Must have bought them for the family. unfortunately shipping costs to the UK would have been prohibitive.
I wonder what the collective noun is for a group of death forks - a dolour (dolor) perhaps? or a demise?

You might be interested in adding your photos to the Viscount & Lambert group on Flickr.I set the group up but I have been unable to access my Flickr account for some time, since it started only having log-on through Yahoo, so I can't remove that odd computer picture that has appeared. But apart from that there are lors of nice Viscount and Lambert pictures there.

'Demise of Death Forks'. Superb.
I was looking on-line at the collective nouns for animals the other day (having been out on a walk and my wife saw a group of crows and was struggling for the correct term).
It's not just the none English speakers that think they are the weirdest thing ever. How on earth did they come about?

I see Minnesota, Land of 10,000 Lakes license plates. Maybe they sold like hotcakes to use an expression I've heard in the US; and as has been remarked before, they seemed to be quite popular in Minnesota. Just that is an interesting sidenote, who was selling them?
Good job.

I grew up in the southeastern part of the U.S. which is (or was,) rich with idiomatic phrases. Phrases like "Mad as a wet hen," come to mind. What do they really mean? What is the connection? Sometimes, it was hard for outsiders to know whether they were being threatened, solicited, or both.
I once had a guy who grew up in a rural area threaten to "Jerk me through a knothole backwards." He couldn't have carried through on his threat, but I gave him points for style.
Unfortunately, many of the best phrases are not suitable for use in public forums.
