When I read the listing for this on eBay UK, I presumed they'd made a mistake or that maybe the saddle was made in Italy.... But, here's the photo! ps it's a folder

How strange. Since when did Italy have a Viscount factory?

Hi Stella,it's just another fine example of British"badge engineering"! Cars, washing machines, fridges etc.Don't forget a lot of Viscount frames were made in Taiwan. Or was that Formosa before they badge engineered themselves? Cheers, Pete.

As I recall it is officially the Republic of China.Main land communist china is the Peoples Republic of China.A few projectiles still find there way across the Straits of Formosa! Cheers, Pete.

It's a Viscount La Scala!
Bought one for Mrs Sprockit shortly after DFR last year.
It's a large-ish folding bike with 24 inch wheels and 3-speed Sturmey Archer hub gear.
It rides quite nicely but flexes like many folding bikes do.
Tempted to bring it to DFR2 just for novelty interest.
