Some of the lugged frames were built in Taiwan, and a few in Italy, and if I remember correctly, Busaste wrote that some of the Taiwan-built frames were used on the Tulsa models, which were then re-imported into the UK.
Some Viscount lugged frames were made in Italy. They're pretty rare, but they do exist. A similar sticker adorns the Viscount La Scala folding bike owned by Mrs S.
So, basically, we get the same response, "some frames were made over there" but perhaps more is to be found in this forum.
I know I even mentioned this one time, per the stickers.
Maybe someone will write a book and we will have more of the story. This next bit is a bit more helpful:
I have many pics of these two machines & did some research also when I found very little online. Some were made in Italy for example!
I have a Simoncini, & the main man there tells me they built for Viscount,as well as other European 'names' during the same period. So they were not all built in UK.....
