For we folk in the California mountains, fall is a strange time of year; choosing your riding togs can be a challenge. I checked my thermometer just before sunup this morning, it read a chilly 15F (-9C for the rest of the world). Around eleven, I went for a ride and it had warmed up to 65F (18C), nice! We currently only have 11% humidity, so in our clear mountain air, the temperature swing is tremendous. The lesson? Avoid riding in the morning. I forgot to mention, we are supposed to have snow on Saturday. As for ridding in the snow, I prefer sitting by the fireplace sipping coffee.
Cheers Jim

As I've gotten more mature, I'm not into riding into the snow as much but it's not bad.
