Have at it!
Since the Packers have been mentioned on this forum twice, in a humorous way, I thought, it be appropriate to have its own thread and if it there is no interest, we won't be the worse off.
Just saying.

Does seem appropriate as the Giants and Rams are playing in London or thereabouts next weekend. NFL seems keen on adding a European franchise, but ignoring Canada and Mexico.

The co-owner of Fulham Football Club in London is also the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahid_KhanHonestly, I read an article on him before, he was born in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan; believe it or not, of all things, he made his fortune from car bumpers! The Jags, Jaguars that is, play in London every year I'm rather sure. ------ You have a few other similar cases like this, do the Glazers own the Patriots but also, Manchester United? Or is it Liverpool? But something like this.

I'd lost track of the ownership of Fulham FC after Mohamed Al Fayed had it (then owner of the Harrod's up-market department store in Knightsbridge, London). Incidentally Mohamed AF bought a statue of Michael Jackson that he had put up outside the Fulham ground (Craven Cottage). It was removed by Shahid Khan in 2013 and moved to the National Football Museum in Manchester.

Derby County were (are?) owned buy a couple of American brothers from about 2008 onwards, I think they cut their business teeth in 'American football'

Craven Cottage; well, I am duly impressed.
In fact, it was in this forum, that Mr. C posted a picture of him or his bike near Craven Cottage I vaguely remember.

Derby County is where the great Brian Clough managed with the able Peter Taylor. I think we discussed him before. I read up on him a lot. Somewhere I even have a book of little quotations by him.

And for the record, the Rams vs. Giants is on tv now. At Twickenham Stadium. Primarily a Rugby stadium: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twickenham_StadiumThey just showed something on the TV; "the London Eye", way up high, that was kind of neat. --------------- This is becoming a very good game, That interception runback by Collins, I guess it was even a bit "Rugby-ish".

A really sloppy game, but I'll take the "W". Very strange to start watching at 9:30 AM and be over before the normal kick-off time.
Also, not enjoying a beer (or 3) while watching doesn't feel right.

This is the beauty of getting old..I could go on and recount my Baseball Ground, Brian Clough, Damned Utd, Burton Albion and Charlie George stories again and because we've all forgotten the first time round (myself included), they would be brand new again!

Washington Redskins, Cincinnati Bengals play in England this weekend, in about 13 hours. I would go with Washington. Cincy is not playing too well this year.
