Okay, links do not often work on the first post (reasons of spam) will put in the 2nd. Also, I don't post many graphics but will post one for this bike. Description: "Viscount Ace Road Bike - 10 speed - 63 cm - fits 6'- 6'3"- leather seat - quick release front and back - awesome city cruiser - good riding condition" That colour is rather classic for that vintage. Okay, it is apparently an "Ace" model. I haven't seen these often. Bar end shifters, I missed that. As shown, in its day, it seemed to be £ 500+ . BarCons

Bumping this thread, this bike, the Ace, is actually fairly unique, isn't it? Maybe especially in the USA; if one were in that area.
Not much on Aces in this forum.

It looks very smart and an unusual colour for what looks like a mid-seventies Viscount. I think this is the only record of Ace as a model name - one for the Keeper of Names - we have a list on one of the threads.

In the early '80s the top of the range model was sometimes listed as the Dura Ace ax. I think that's the one in the price list as the Denver one looks mid-70s to me. I like Scott's idea that it's Aerospace with the Aerosp removed or disappeared.

I haven't ever seen an all-black Aerospace yet. I'd thought of the worn-off decal some earlier. I guess such a theory can't be disproved with the available photos, I thought I looked closely at the top-tube at one point.

I'm only on my tiny phone screen looking at this, but this sounds very interesting. I rather cynically thought "what is to stop someone making up an 'Ace' decal and adding it to a run of the mill Viscount"? But looking at the price , that can't be the case. Which then leaves us with the other option - it's a bike that we've heard of but never seen! So truly can be called rare.
