From the Veteran Cycle Club Library, Viscount Bury riding a two wheels in front penny farthing tricycle. The drawing looks very detailed, but I'm still not sure how it works - I suppose the handle bars must somehow connect to the rear wheel. I like the twin foot rests for cruising down hill (I suppose) - but does that mean it was a fixie? - particularly as I can't see any brakes, although there is a little gizmo just behind the Viscount's left foot - foot brake? Is that a differential on the right of the axle? On reflexion, I can't see how what I thought were foot rests could have been used as such as the Viscount would have had to lift his noble feet right over the axle to reach them. Perhaps an axle brake, as there is a rod running up to the handle bars?? But seem too elaborate. I like the dinky mudguard on the rear wheel, although surely it is largely pointless because the rider would get splashed from head to toe from the front wheels?

Imaginative, weird, probably rather complicated, mechanically. Thanks for sharing!
