I expect some of you will have seen this, but did you notice that the seller has posted a picture of a 1978 Viscount Price list? I have taken the liberty of downloading the picture: Unfortunately, the resolution is not good, but you can just about make out the models on offer: Viscount 78 price list by Cusqueno, on Flickr I'll ask the seller if s/he would sell me the list or a good copy of it.

Very interesting. My 1976 Viscount was also branded Sebring. Looks like they were dropped by 1978. Had half a bottle of wine in preparation for Eurovision Song Contest and nearly bought it!

I have been in touch with seller, thinking that if it were his , then he might have some more Viscount paperwork. He got back to me to say that he found it on the internet. I did a search but couldn't find it. I have never seen the site above, it must have been buried away in the deep recesses of the internet? The 1980 catalogue is new to me. I don't think I can ever recall seeing the 'Fargo' or 'Alamo' models. Very interesting. But I would guess it might be just a bit earlier than 1980? EDIT- We did have the Fargo on the database list- and thinking about it, I have been on that web site a couple of years ago.

Seller must be wondering what he's unleashed. Did you give him details of the forum?
I'd heard of the Alamo (Remember the Alamo?) but couldn't recall the Fargo. It's not under Juvenile but was available with 26" & 24" wheels - for the smaller person or teenager? Or are they the ladies' frames? The Pro is substantially more expensive than the G.S. or the Sport - it would be interesting to see the published specs for these (we know that the components actually delivered could be different!). Must be more than just tubs on the Pro, surely?
EDIT: I've just read the 1980 catalogue from the same web site (although there is '1980?' hand-written on it), which sets out the specs of all the main models mentioned in the 1978 price list, including the differences between Pro, GS and Sport. Although the cat describes it as a 'new range', so changes in spec.s since 1978 can't be ruled out.
