If you've not had to chance to get a 2.5 yr old the back of your bike, I can heartily recommend it. It was like seeing the world through fresh eyes! Although without my wife to help me get off , I would have been stuck. There was no way I was flexible enough to get off! Luckily we made it to the pub and the she lifted the precious cargo off. There was a Facebook thread from my home town recently discussing young kids being taken on the back of mum's bike in the 70's. Invariably, people commented that being on the back of the bike was one of the most vivid and happy memories from childhood.

My Gillian's comment: While I'm absolutely certain I had a great time riding on the back of my dad's bike as a little kid, I have absolutely no memories of it whatsoever.
