The last time I fooled with spray paint trying to mimic chrome, it did not work out too well. I see a new spray paint has come out, mirror finish and it is suppose to be like the cap which is very mirror like. Has me a bit curious. www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Specialty-6-oz-Mirror-Finish-Spray-Paint-267727/204639861This. I looked at it, I wondered if that by any chance could work. This would seem to be a bit of a limit on its possibilities: "Create a mirror like object out of glass or acrylic surfaces" Well, we'll see, there's got to be a way, this is not a pressing situation for me but might be of use to others. I've resigned myself to just trying to keep rust off some bike chrome at this point.

White primer, clear acrylic coat, let dry thoroughly, then the mirror paint? Sounds like an interesting project, but not mine. Not this year anyway.
