Very nice looking bike.
I like this kind of mail service from the ebay page:
" if you wanted a courier company to pick it up (at your own cost and risk and no returns), there is a courier company who pick bikes up as they are and deliver in a van. I do not have the time to box or wrap so the bikes are delivered as-is or I think they can provide a wrapping service at a small extra charge. So you must be happy with this before arranging this service."
That is what is needed, just picking up the bike as is; boxing is a hassle for most people.
Some hi-ten bikes are very agile; so often, I've had mine so loaded per portaging. I need to ride mine with the minimum of extras.

I had a couple of bikes delivered to me this way.It was very convenient, but a bit more money than conventional way. The guy literally un-tied the the bike from off the inside of the van and that was that. I did it through a web site called 'any-van' (I think?). The idea is that van drivers who are going to certain areas (with spare capacity), can quote you for bringing the item with them. It seems like a great idea. The web site takes a cut.

Confession time. I'm now the owner of two Sebrings. One that my dad bought me in 1976, recently repaired, resprayed and awaiting build-up for DFR4, and the other this very tidy blue mixte, that I finally picked up in Eastleigh last weekend. The vendor runs an Aladdin's cave of bikes under restoration and for sale. One double garage, one single garage and a shipping container, all filled with bikes. He had a pair of original Raleigh Choppers on the drive when I called in (I was very tempted). It made my little shedfull look positively cheapskate. He's a Claud Butler fan himself, so was happy to let me have a couple of Viscount frames he had hanging around. One is just like my Speedwell(?) blue Grand Sport with a red seat tube band, the other is fillet brazed, has been resprayed in yellow and is of uncertain heritage. More details & photos to follow.
I now need to convince Mrs RobT that she has always wanted a 10-speed mixte with drop handlebars so that she can join us for DFR4. Watch this space for updates on my success, or not.
P.S. Jem, I can confirm it has the original steel-rimmed wheels with high-flange nutted hubs.

Nice ride too, really love it, nutted on axles on the wheels. I've packed for so long on bikes, from tool bags, to carrying wheels besides the usual panniers, this summer, I'm riding as light as I can and it makes such a difference. Be sure to tell us how this Sebring Mixte rides. I once visited a, for lack of better words, a bike junkyard. I'm sure there are tons of very nice ones to be found over there.

Great news! I have said it on numerous posts, but will say again, that this bike is a superb ride. I really would not be surprised if you try it once and then have to keep 'road testing' it several times after that 'just to be sure'.
