An interesting Viscount Aerospace 400 bike - 'transitional', as my old archaeologist friends would put it - with a fillet brazed frame but 1980+ Aerospace 400 decals and go-faster stripes. It has SunTour GS rear drop outs as well, which I associate with the later, lugged Viscounts. Very clean and shiny. I might be inclined to up-grade a few components and change the bar tape, but it looks ready to ride (DFR4?) - apart from needing some new spokes, as the seller mentions.

Quite nice! As you say 'transitional' with the fillet brazed frame but many components and decals associated with a 79/80/81 build. Bonus to have the stainless cable clips - that would make my day. The wheels alone at a bike jumble could be £30? I'd guess it's reasonably light?

An interesting little essay on the bike, beware of the back wheel as referred to in post #1. Not a deal breaker.

Ha! I made a direct offer to the original vendor for this bike that was accepted by him, off-eBay, but before we went through with it, someone had already made a buy-it-now offer through eBay, which put it beyond my reach. A shame that it now appears to have been stripped down for resale as parts.
