Had a bid on Ebay for these assorted parts but only really needed the handlebars. I was blown out of the water by a bidding war in the last few minutes. www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Lambert-Bike-Parts-/111949562904 Someone needed it a bit more than I did apparently. After going almost the entire auction at $32.50 it ended up selling for $305. Amazing price for Lambert parts that have come up every now and then for a heck of a lot cheaper. The bidder that lost the battle bought an almost complete Lambert Saturday on Ebay for over $500 including shipping, and it wasn't in the best of shape either. Someone shares our obsession it seems.

These prices seem mad, particularly as the Lambert bits (and not all of the assorted parts were actually Lambert) could, as jdl51 says, be purchased individually for a lot less than the total, given a certain amount of patient waiting. If I did not know better I would suspect shilling (bidding up by an accomplice of a seller to promote a bidding war). On the good side my garden shed, which accommodates a gold plated Lambert bike and a lot of miscellaneous Lambert and Viscount parts, now needs contents insurance of about $8,000 :-)

And as I think has been pointed out before , a whole bike with these components can be picked up for far less than the price of a chain set or pair of wheels.
