Oh my I came across a craigslist ad for a very original red and white Aerospace GP in NYC (I'm in the 'burbs and close). I've got enough so no, even at a good price ($60) with pedal dust caps still there no less, I must pass but it's there for you guys. What really caught my attention is that it was a kid selling his dad's bike. I'm afraid to ask what happened to his dad but it's a fate that at 62, I worry about my kid putting my beautiful Viscounts out for the price of a gas fillup on a Ford F-150. Like the public service ads with Sarah McGoughlin singing about the sad puppies, I worry if this will be the Viscount's fate. Can't allow it...must make plans ahead of time...damm list of things to do before we go where we can't ride anymore I'll have to set up a container to send them back home to Bilston or Yamaha headquarters. ANYWHERE BUT CRAIGSLIST!!!! I've got an idea. I'm gonna send a message to the kid and try and let him know he's got a bit cycling and his dad's history and maybe he or she. can get it on the road again. Let's see if I can get the kid on the forum and save that bike. newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/bik/5500441098.html

My sons might want one bike a piece but after that they wouldn't want a shed full of my old bikes. Therefore my bikes might suffer a similar fate to the CL one above, but I'd hopefully leave a note with an approximate value for them at the very least. I might even get really clever and write the advert myself so that they could sell it well with a detailed description.

I was thinking of leaving my Viscounts to the forum. They could then be used by members who had the space to store them. This would ensure their survival with sympathetic folk. Cheers, Pete.

I once read that a cyclist's nightmare was that if he died, his wife would put all his bikes up for sale for what he had told her he paid for them!
Should I be taken unexpectedly in the near future, would someone please call round and relieve my wife and children of the burden of what to do with my Viscounts. Distribute them among the forum members as you wish.
Rob.
