£18.50 off-peak return and 2 hours each way on the train from Brum, plus £5 preloved membership, but I'm thinking about it. I definitely don't need another project bike, but should I grab it in case another forum member needs it one day? On the other hand, I already have three friends who are up for joining us for DFR4 that I'd need to provide with suitable rides.

Scaling off a print, the proportions are the pretty much the same as my 23.5" GS, so I'd say it's a 23.5" or 24" frame.
I have a cunning plan. I need to meet a colleague this Thursday, and it would suit us both to meet in Shrewsbury. It's only a 40-minute diversion for me to get the train home via Wrexham.
Jem/Sooper8, if you're in touch with the vendor, could you ask if it would be possible for me to collect the Viscount at Wrexham General station on early Thursday evening (28/1)? If so, we can exchange contact details and I'll pay cash on collection. Are the lights included in the price?
Any helpful suggestions for reasons why I need it will be most welcome, apart from 'I don't have a silver one yet', as that can also be applied to shoes and handbags.

Not been in the running 'cos it looks just a bit too big for me - maybe 24" or 24 1/2" frame. It's a very nice bike though - Potters Bar-made Aerospace frame with English threaded BB - an Aerospace 400. There's a magnificent specimen here:- www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=189339but this one has a lugged frame and a lovely drillium chainset. |
