As it says on the tin, I know nothing about these bikes. I know they are well-known but not all that common in the states, this one has "sew-ups", so, it's not as if I'm ready to jump into that, oh, and a Crane RD and plenty of other pluses: minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/bik/5352983610.htmlPosting for discussion. Yes, I've found out enough about English bikes, that I believe at a "Tip" as this man said, you can find all kinds of things, honestly, we see things here and maybe over there, it might be a fairly low price at that. I was over there in '96 and yes, as I've said before, it is really a Mecca for fine bicycles just like France is. I guess we have a few fine makers here as well, Trek would be and some Schwinns too. I don't see much about tubing written here. As of now, the link is working, should it get scrambled, please advise.

Very nice. I would say a little over priced? (by UK standards). I am thinking of picking one of these up when one pops up near me and the price is right

There's a couple floating about on ebay at the moment. Cheers, Pete.

Busaste knows a bit about Falcons. What seemed like a container load of NOS Falcons came to light on eBay a couple of years ago. But a lesser model than the Black Diamond. This one looks good - must be mid seventies from the 1st gen Dura Ace parts.

What would be the next models up from the Black Falcon?

I love those photos and indeed, decals and look at that, your typical old Weinmann Vanquer (or other) center pull brakes. Why can my bikes not look like this? It looks polished.

I found this web page, it talks about a few companies, it has this: ukmade.wordpress.com/category/bicycles/Anyway, there is a bit on Falcon on that webpage as well. Nice badge, must be one of the nicer ones I have seen. At webpage above.

As springtime comes, I have seen some nice bikes. This one is probably just a bit too big. Falcon. All black on the back chain and seat stays. That's a bit new to me. I did see someone did their Viscount renovation in this fashion as well. minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/bik/5471656552.htmlFalcon for 6' plus rider in Minneapolis Craig's List. The link worked, last I tried it. Virtually the same size as my Nomade, at least the head tube. Yellow makes a nice bike color. I guess some people see it as a safety issue.

Yep, that was me; I am guilty of painting black stays on my Viscount. I also did a friends Cannondale with black stays as well. The Cannondale came out better. I was actually inspired by the handsome Raleigh Team Pro of the 1980s. Attachment DeletedCheers Jim

You might be interested in my early 70's Falcon San Remo 76. Reynolds 531, Campy Record/NR w/ Weinmann CP's. The white panel decals changed sometime in the early 80's, so that can help in dating your bike. Falcon
Here's the same bike with the later 80's decals: Disco Falcon
The top of the line Falcons were every bit as well built and finished as their Italian counterparts

You might be interested in my early 70's Falcon San Remo 76. Wow, that is a good looking bike! They don't often come up for sale around here; I'd pounce on one if it came up in my size. Yours looks great!
