I had a tiny crash yesterday and have snapped the rear skewer on my Pro.
Hubs are Pellisier, non-QR, with bearings. What are the chances that one of the junker chrome wheels I have knocking about the place will yield a useable replacement?
Any specialist tools required?

Err. If the hubs are non-QR, the axles are solid and there aren't any skewers. I think you mean the axle broke? Probably best to buy a new axle, cones and balls, they are not expensive - after all the Pelissier is a reasonable quality hub. Check the axle is the right size. (Or at least not shorter than what you are replacing - you can always saw a bit off The reverse operation is tricky.) Ideally you need the right size of cone spanners - made from sheet steel so that you can get on to the cones and the thin lock nuts. They usually come in pairs with stepped jaws at each end to that all common sizes are covered. Not usually expensive - worth checking if Halfords still have any tools on sale. But you can probably wing it with whatever you have - it was years before I got a pair of cone spanners. Stella will correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.

Thanks Cusqueno,
Yes it is indeed the solid axle - wasn't sure which term to use and came down on the wrong side!
Came down wrong last night too hence the problem! Stupid stick in road.
I made sure to go back and give it a kick! Chilly walk home though.
