Not sure if this will work but I thought I'd try... Here is a recording I made on my iPhone today and then uploaded to soundcloud. I might even make a song in Garageband or Logic later on (yes, I know Kraftwerk did it first, and a bit better, but this would be possibly the first Viscount sound related song!) Sorry- couldn't embed it here, you will need to click on link below Viscount Deore 18AX rear wheel sound

Well,if thebike is as original, and Viscount weren't doing their "mix and match" approach to manufacture, it should be an Altus cassette. I checked the spec sheet you posted and the info was there. No need to go down to the shed now sooper8!

How was the France Trip?

I guess due to the frequencies of the sound, it really didn't sound right (very tinny and was clipping). I uploaded again and made it the highest possible quality I could, then it sounded 'right'. I suppose the range of frequencies in music makes mp3 a reasonable format to use, but a freewheel requires something of better quality...?

In France since Sunday.Did a 30km ride this morning whilst the other half was fishing The Charente, she only caught 1 fish which was returned to be caught again another day. Got about 2mm run-out on the chain rings, this is annoying as it is impossible to trim the front mech to run noise free.Shame really,as they are original components. Here until a week tomorrow so more rides in store. This Viscount is just like my Aerospace Pro,in that it will not pass an open bar! Cheers from Frogland.
