Pretty bike and a bit of a shame that it's going to change colours, but I understand your reasoning for not needing another GP. Burgundy sounds great, though, so does the price!

Great pick up!
Nice looking bike. I can see it looking very classy with those additions. Will you be going for the new Pletscher rack in the post somewhere up above?
By the way. I never thought I'd want/need a mirror, but I inherited one on my Deore 18ax tourer. I love it and it can be a nice addition to a tourer. It's one of those times when you feel you can add a few things without getting too picky about weight. eg an alloy kick stand.
Everyone needs a light (ish) weight tourer!

The rack and fenders will be going on as the "final touches" along with a Union Jack sticker. I'm planning ahead for what type of riding I'll be doing in the future. While I still see myself as a triathlete first, I know that can't last forever at 60. I totaled up my bike's different mileages and surprisingly found that the transition is already under way. I've done more miles on my Viscounts than my "modern" racing bikes since last summer. There are a lot of rail trails within an hour or so drive away that I'm looking forward to trying on the newest addition.
