Nice looking bike! It's probably best to bite the bullet and rebuild the wheels with stainless steel spokes. You can do this one spoke at a time, easy with double butted new spokes,or strip them completely and take advantage of the opportunity to deep clean your hubs and rims. What ever you decide to do,enjoy doing it,so you can enjoy the riding more! Cheers, Pete.

I've got to say that is one heck of a nice bike! And that is such a bargain.
In terms of a bike, what else can you get for £97 these days? In other transport terms - it's return from here to London on the train, a one way flight to Vulnius, or petrol to Cornwall.
I'd be totally made up with that purchase!

Honestly I cannot get over how good this bike is. I have found 2 small chips less than 3 mm. its my style as I like as near to stock as you can get and this ticks all the boxes. Its gutting to even change the cable outers but they have yellowed over time. The guy who sold it was very nice, gave me a cuppa and was interested in the Viscount history(told him the little i know). My wife thinks I am nuts raving over this, thinks I love the bike more than her, not true. Anyway back to the polishing Shimano 500 Frame number 2777 Ray

Polishing,if you mean the new bike,I suggest you buy her a "small" treat so she can appreciate that you don't have to spend lots of money to sort your new bike out.Lets face it,you don't get much of a new bike for less than a couple of hundred quid these days. Actually, you could always buy her a ladies Viscount! Cheers, Pete.

Love it! I think you have every right to rave about it, let your wife take it for a spin, that'll make a grin. See what I did here? lol I rave about all my bikes, but then again, the iguana doesn't care much.
