I've just liberated this from mum and dad's garage in Sheffield, in a cack handed commando style raid: And now I've posted a teaser photo, I'm going to add: don't get too excited!

Nothing a new powder coat can't fix.
Congratulations, nevertheless to another Viscount and a big thank you for rescuing it.

Jolly good!
I'd guess a Sprint or a Super Sport...?
More pics please. I'm intrigued

Do I spot those SKS West German made mudguards on there? Great look for a Viscount

It's ended up at the back of the Pile of Bikes... and we were away in North Yorkshire over the weekend. But I will get some pictures up shortly.
The bike would not justify any further ramping up of the tension...

As far as it concerns Viscounts everything excites me.

Why would you say it's nothing to get excited about? It's lovely and if it's anything like the Sprint it's a joy to ride. Love the brown and green, by the way. White would be wrong, methinks.

Goldie, nice camouflage bike for wild camping I like the colour scheme you have going on. Quite tasteful I'd say. It's a Grand Touring? What are you bringing to DFR2?

Realistically, it's got to be the Aerospace. It is on the bike stand at the moment getting beautified so that it can hold its head up amongst all the other amazing Viscounts that will be there. I do keep looking at the Grand Touring though and wondering whether I should give it a proper day out.

Why not, there'll be quite a few wonderfully restored and muchly loved bikes there, but, any Lambert,Viscount, yes, even Trusty bike that is there will be appreciated! There will be a few bikes that have been modified, for whatever reason, but, they're still being used, loved, and, hopefully admired by a new generation brought up on alloy and carbon fibre!!! I hate to say it,but, the bikes may be older than some of their owners, obviously not in my case! Hope to see as many bikes, and owners, at DFR2 as possible. To quote Douglas Adams, "we're all mostly harmless"! Cheers, Pete.

Doesn't matter what bike you bring, as long as it's a Viscount and rolls. Heck, even if you don't ride a Viscount (yet), I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem.

If I had someone else coming from London, I'd lend one of mine, too. :-) Hope your friend can make it; the more the merrier.

Can't believe I missed this photo splurge. What a nice bike! Something very original about it. You're right about how short those stay are Goldie. WIth those big tyres and the mudguards it looks very tight in there. How does the rear guard attach to the bottom bracket bridge? Is an SKS-style clip-over job? And looks like a steel front rim and alloy rear. Is the Super Champion a later addition of yours?
That Altus RD: I know Altus were/are traditionally lower spec, but the cutouts in the mech body look very stylish for mine. b

The Super Champion and the winged V headbadge were why I bought it! I assumed I was getting nice alloy wheels front and rear because I could see the Wolber sticker in one of the ebay photos. Ebay fail.
The Altus is pretty nice. I think it's only the back arm of the parallelogram that's steel - everything else seems to be alloy. It doesn't quite have the same miraculous standard of finish as the Crane on the Pro, but it all works fine.
