Had. totally stock Team until the free wheel became a fixie. Cant repair it (lifes too short). Looking for a Suntour 28/14 Nos screw Cassette now. Got it off easy with correct tool. Bit miffed, bike must be stock. I hate old Viscounts tonight.

Oh dear. Sorry to hear, Raymondo. Can I ask, why Suntour? It's normally Shimano, or even Regida. Should be able to get hold of one of those on fleabay.
I understand your frustration, though. Have a stiff drink, sleep over it, and tomorrow the world's your friend again. :-)

I feel your pain Raymondo I had a depressing night this time last year when the simple re-grease of a Deers Head Deore RD on my 18AX turned into a long painful task. I also thought that old bikes are bloody awkward. A bit like old properties - once you start a renovation, you could be in for heartbreak and more than you bargained for.

There's a dealer on ebay who has a huge selection of NOS Suntour freewheel bits.It seems he's an old pro mechanic, read awkward, perhaps!Looking at what he lists,he'll be able to help. He's based in High Whickham,I believe he trades as "Hard to find parts",if that's not right,I'll find him and repost. I used that freewheel set up at the back end of the '70's,great!I still use old Suntour today when I can!!!! Cheers, Pete.
