Happy New Year to all! I wish all of you a healthy and prosperous new year. Yesterday (Dec 31st) I finished my Peugeot 753 project. The saddle is low as this (58 c-c) is absolutely the largest frame size I can ride. When the rain stops (yep, rain in California) I will give it a test and tuning ride.
Cheers Jim

Looks very smart Jim. Interesting wheel rims The are a bit unusual; Mavic CXP 14 rims, fairly aero, fairly heavy, very strong.
Cheers Jim

Another winner Jim! Great way to start the New Year. It's a good inspiration to get me busy or my annual refurb/rehab winter projects. We just had a 60 degree plus day so used that as another excuse to ride outside vs get cracking. Cheers, Michael

The streets have finally been cleared of mud and I was able to ride something other than "Old Blue" my Trek 520 with cyclocross tires. The new Peugeot received its first ride; only needed a seat adjustment (started off way too low). The bike can best be described as silky smooth, harmonious and fast; a most pleasant experience.
Cheers Jim

Sounds like a winner, Jim. It’s all about the ride, and it sounds like you’re really pleased. Dare I ask, what’s your next project? 😉 Best, John “wheelson”

That is a good question. At this time I am painting frames. This month I painted an Ideor Asso and an Atala. I am in the process of painting my Schwinn Paramount and after that my Mondia. Once painted, I will have what I call a clear coat party. The clear coat I use is basically like Emron and made made by Spray Max. Once the catalyst is introduced you have a 24 hour pot life. I line up my recently painted frames and do them all; this saves waste as I can use all of each batch. The Spray Max clear coat is very durable. I also have a Trek 660 and a Specialized Allez that I think will only need touch up paint. Once the frames are ready I can start assembling at my leisure. I may pull the components off a running bike, replace them with a different set and then sell that bike. For example, I have a Tommaso with Campagnolo triple setup which I may swap for a Shimano 600 double setup, and then sell the bike. My next project? I am getting a car ready for sale and my better half wants new carpets and cabinet tops; we shall see what fits in.
All the Best Jim
