Thanks Jim. It's good to have these "vintage" brochures available to easily revisit. Yes we've seen them before but could I easily find them? Not a chance!

Thanks for posting these. I've seen most of them before but as others have said, it's handy to have them all in one place. I don't remember the Lambert Special Features brochure - nice to know the bike came with an E-Type Jag and a GF as accessories!
Has anyone ever seen a Lambert 'All-Rounder' of either sex? Or the mixte 'ladies' G.P. ? These must be incredibly rare.

As to the picture of the young couple, the bike and the Jag; those were the days my friend. It is no wonder that I reminiscence about those times. I must admit to never seeing a young lady riding a road bike in boots. Cheers

Has anyone ever seen a Lambert 'All-Rounder' of either sex? Or the mixte 'ladies' G.P. ? These must be incredibly rare. Great quality scans there! In terms of the 'All-Rounder' model, I made an effort to find one about 6 or 7 years ago to add to the collection but drew a blank. I realised that one or two could have come and gone on eBay and no-one would would bat an eye, as it might first appear that someone had just personally modified their Pro with flat bars and you'd scroll past it. On another point on that All-Rounder, I really can't see why they paired that colour mudguard with it. It doesn't work for me.

Is it odd that the Jag is left-drive?

The person putting the advert together might just have flipped the image over to make the text sit in the right place maybe? EDIT -Ignore that suggestion - i just looked and obviously the chain drive would be the wrong way around if they did that

I think the advert was for the USA; see bottom of previous page.

And now that I look at the Jag/girl/bike photo more closely, the foliage and topography look like California but you would have a better eye for that. I am bitterly disappointed that the girl might not be English. Suddenly she looks merely like someone I graduated high school with. And you are right, those were the days my friend.

I think we are all living in the present but also so aware of the joy and importance of preserving the best of the past. It's funny how a bicycle company that flamed out as fast as it rose is that vehicle. Brian, I must have went to the wrong high school. No California girls in Flushing!

Yes, California girls; I married one! As for living in the present or past; how old are you in your dreams? I think that is how you perceive yourself and I suppose, you sort of live in the time that you were that age. if true, I am functioning in the present and living in the 1970s or early 80s; or vice-versa? Perhaps that is why I like bicycles that were popular in that time? Perhaps that is why I think a new high end road bike should cost $500? Perhaps I simultaneously am 71 and 28 years of age? Perhaps I time travel when I dream? Perhaps I am just plain silly? Cheers Jim

IMG_0811Not to hijack this thread but I’m rather intrigued with triitout’s pseudo Allrounder, especially the handlebars. This might be an option for my ailing back. Are these Northroad or something else? Best, John “wheelson”
