I have an old Flickr account that I mainly used for bike pictures. But now I am told it is blocked because I have reached the maximum for a free account of 1000 images. Roughly reckoning up how many photos I have put there, I think it is well short of 1000. Except there are nearly 700 in an Auto Upload folder. Is there any way of deleting these and turning off auto upload? A lot of the images in that album are personal ones that I would never put on Flickr. Are auto upload images visible to other users? Thanks for any advice. John

When I look at your profile, it says you have 303 photos , and the last one was a leather saddle and the previous ones were of that guitar package.
Flickr is is bit of an awkward experience for the user , I find. To delete photos, you need to go to your camera roll, and that can be done in bulk then.
In terms of that auto upload, I dont know anything about it, but I would suspect that you give that permission on your device/laptop/phone , and in the photos permissions and settings in there- I dont think that setting is on Flickr end. (so, it might be in your 'settings' in 'permissions' etc on laptop or phone, or iPad
Sorry I cant be of more help than that

I deleted more that 590 photos from the camera roll and the stated number of images on my account went from 303 to 302. I will see if I am now allowed to post more photos. It must be that all the photos in the auto upload album must add to the number of intentionally uploaded photos (there's still 109 in there - some might be duplicates of ones I meant to upload). All of the photos in the auto upload album date from several years ago, so it's possibly a setting I had on my phone and subsequently changed. But I will check.
