I first heard of Lambert of England when I was given one two days ago. I sold a vintage Schwinn on ebay to a gentleman in my city so he simply drove over to pick it up. When he noticed all the vintage bicycles in my garage he said " I have several old ten speeds that I never ride, you're welcome to have them." Now I would never look a gift horse in the mouth so I said "Sure, I'd love to have them" with knowing what I had agreed to. When I got his house my jaw dropped when he showed me all the bikes. There were 10 in all, everything from a Giant TCR to vintage Motobecanes. I was thinking I was going to pick up a bunch of rusty department ten speeds from the 60s and 70s. Well this one really stood out since I never heard of the brand. I plan on restoring it to its original glory. Here are some pictures after I removed the thick layer grease it was covered in. Nice jackpot and welcome to the forum.

Wow, that was a nice suprise!
That Lambert is looking good. 3 rings on the front is a desirable option to have!
I know it's a Viscount/Lambert forum, but what are the other vintage bikes you collected?

I have a 1950 Hawthorne 3 speed with drum brakes, 1960 Bianchi Sports, 1981 Dutch style Peugeot VX40, 4 early 70s Peugeot UO8s and mixtes, a 70s Royal Scot, and lots of 70s Japanese bikes like Nishiki, Univega Sanwa etc and about 4 old Schwinns. I currently have about 22 complete bikes and another dozen or so frames. Most will be restored and sold but some will be kept in my permanent collection. The vintage Peugeots got me bitten by the bike bug.

Judging by the Schwinns and Japanese bikes in the collection, I am guessing your are in the US. Is that right and, if so, where? I am in Massachusetts.

I'm sort of a Fuji man myself. I'd like to find some really old Fuji's. They have been making them since 1899 but I've only seen "vintage" ones from the 1970's and 1980's.

Hello, Curly, and welcome. That's a very, very nice bike you have acquired; that purple color is always eye-catching, and you have all the "L" markers in place, it seems, even the ones on the crank bolts. Excellent.
I'm a Chicago guy myself, currently with three Viscounts in the stable. One, when overhauled and reassembled, will go back into service as "Rusty Trusty", aka "Fenders", a mostly OEM bike with a rack and fenders, and surface rust and grime to attempt to discourage thieves when out running errands. One was set up fix gear, but I had some work done on the frame and it will be my next "TT" style bike, and the third is an immaculate Aerospace Pro that will be for sale. It's too pretty to ride as a gravel bike, the Wright (?) OEM saddle doesn't fit me very well, and I don't use Shimano equipment. I don't collect wall-hangers, so it will be time, soon, to send this one to a good home.
Anyway, they are lots of fun, they do get under your skin, and there are a number of US riders on the forum, so welcome and enjoy.
