I thought it fun to start this thread. As many as like, please post a Christmas picture of your Viscount. Here is mine in front of my home.
All the best this holiday season. Jim

Nice picture and an interesting juxtaposition of an English Viscount bike with a Massachusetts Yankee "An Appeal To Heaven" flag.

I think the "An Appeal To Heaven" phrase by John Locke applies to similar situations. The pine tree is very much a symbol of Massachusetts. I had a conversation with my Viscount bike; it tells me is is not annoyed. My bike told me in would only be offended if I were to fly the Union Jack upside down. My ancestors flew the "Don't Tread On Me" flag during the American revolution; I prefer the more subtle Pine Tree Flag. Ironic that what was once deemed very progressive, is now seen as conservative.
Cheers Jim

I was interested in old flags for a while and used to fly different ones until the wind took off my holder. I always wanted to find a real pre-1971 Massachusetts flag. The front is the current design but the back was the pine tree flag. However, most of the flags even then had the Algonquin warrior design on both sides:

I just thought I would resurrect this thread. This year my Christmas ride will not be on my Viscount; I have an extra car in my garage and the Viscount is behind it. Later, I will post a picture. This is a warm Christmas day with bright sun and a toasty (for winter) high of 66F (18C).
Merry Christmas to All! Jim

Jim - I only just twigged that the original post was a year old. Great picture , I must have missed it first time around.
Not bad cycling weather here today - limited light left now though, but if i get out I'll take a pic.
