This link was posted on Classic Rendezvous. Thought others might enjoy it as I have.

I happen to have their bike sticker as well. This Centurion Ironman 1987 "Miami Vice" was a Craig's list pickup. Nashbar and Bikeology catalogues were always full of good deals on all the goodies. IMG_0659

I miss catalogs; today's web pages just aren't the same. I used to thumb through the Bikecology catalog for hours. I would choose a frame, select components, add up the total and realize I couldn't afford it. This may explain some of my current behavior.

So much of my knowledge of bikes after I left the shop for the engineering world came from those as well as Bicycling and Bike Tech. Speaking of Nashbar, when I moved to western Pennsylvania, my engineering job took me to eastern Ohio. Along the way in Youngstown was Nashbar’s warehouse and outlet store, with some of the best deals imaginable. In fact, one of my primary riders now is an early ‘90s 6000T, a nice Tange double butted tube sport touring model that I bought as a frameset. It is almost identical to the Soma Smoothie of today, probably from the same Taiwanese plant. I miss that place, long closed with their purchase by Performance Bike. Best, John “wheelson”

Yeah, bike catalogs! I was partial to the Performance catalog format - each page loaded with data and products. I recommended it as a model for the catalog we put out at a telecommunications equipment company I worked for in 1985, as a replacement for the glossy catalog of full-page models holding up T1 routers.

Should anyone want a compendium of Zeus catalogs and other stuff (400+ pages) PM me with your mailing address and I'll send a thumb drive. These are scans from my catalogs EXCEPT for the famous (infamous?) Catalog 102 which was scanned and sent to me by a Spanish friend. Although not necessary a PP F&F to cover the cost of the drive and postage would be nice.
