Hello Viscount Forum At the start of the pandemic I (like many) decided to embark on a restoration project. Over the course of researching the frame I bought - which was apparently built for Tony Doyle - I came to the conclusion that it was most likely built for the Viscount Team. I was going to ask on here for advice but in the end thought I would just go with my hypothesis. It may, or may not ,have been ridden by Doyle and may, or may not, have even been a Viscount. But it is now Anyway - here's a flickr gallery that documents some of my thought process and the final (possibly tribute) 'Barry Chick built for Tony Doyle' Viscount AX. I recon if there is anywhere to share the project this would be the place. Let me know your expert opinion. www.flickr.com/gp/56447257@N05/343vVT

I’m no expert but that looks a lovely clean project, great work! Looks stunning. How does it ride? The only grumble I have with long term projects is I can’t wait to get them out on the road Welcome to the forum.

These unknowns are really fun and half of that is the research and questions asked and many times answered on this great forum. I have two Viscounts that may never be fully explained as they don’t quite fit the norm but this is SO addictive. Best, John “wheelson”

What a great find and a lovely build. How good is that cable routing through the chain stay! And AX is a very cool groupset. Definitely of an era. Younger sibling to my Dura Ace bike, with a really interesting provenance. b
