There couldn't have been much better places to be today could there? Managed a few miles with my son - him on his 'Pro, and me on my Deore 18AX. My wife came along but chose the new hybrid bike, not her Sebring. Hence, I wouldn't allow her to have her bike in the group photo You can see her in the distance on the first pic. I've no idea what the sign meant on that second shot photo 4 by Sooper 8, on Flickr photo 2 by Sooper 8, on Flickr

Plenty of sandwich storage room on the AX I see.

Could be a mobile bar for DFR2! Cheers, Pete. That's the sort of comment I'd expected Kev to make. I think those bar and saddle bags look rather wonderful and are pretty useful for a day trip. I'm starting to grow fond of them seeing them on your bike, Jem.

Plenty of sandwich storage room on the AX I see. Well, we can't slow the 'Pro down with unwanted weight. I have to carry all of my families bits and pieces in my bags!

Had Frank N.Stein out for a jolly today.Using my new toy,Garmiin Edge Touring.Left Wroughton on the Devises road, couldn't wait to get off it though,b traffic!Following instructions turned turned left.Lo and behold, next thing I know I'm round the back of RAF Wroughton,on a track, and oh boy, here's The Ridgeway!!! Ok on a mountain bike I'm sure, not so good on 700x23! Ploughed through as best I could, resorting to shanks only when the ruts left by the friendly 4x4 folk made it impossible to ride any further. Later met some riders on all-out off road bikes, their tyres where very clean!Mine had chalk all over them. They couldn't believe it was possible to ride most of that route without 2.5" knobbly tyres, wrong! Moral;-don't trust your sat-nav,or a Viscount with cyclo-cross front forks.I had to speak harshly to it and force it to a proper way point at the Calley Arms. Training, training ,training! Cheers, Pete.

Pete,
Looks like your bike needs the training - to find pubs!

More training is planned for it when the wind and rain ease off. Cheers, Pete.

Rainy in London, too. But I'll still go and pick up the freshly powder coated frame.
