This video is inspiring and may encourage those who think themselves too heavy or too old to ride. It also brings me back to memories of my late niece and what might have been. She was a practicing psychologist who almost finished her PhD, and then she passed. She had barley broken into her thirties when she died of cancer. Sadly, she had become very heavy before she passed. We never gave up on her; to aid in her recovery, I built her a bike. I painted it in her favorite color and equipped it as a hybrid bike. We agreed this was a great plan for her as she had a wonderful bike path just outside her back gate. She suddenly made a turn for the worse and was gone.

Sorry for your loss Jim. That was a lovely thought and no doubt would have been greatly received. Looks like a great bike with plenty of gearing options, and a comfy saddle.

Sad but inspiring story, Jim. You have a good heart and tat beautiful bike is still in the family and will obviously be appreciated an that story will be passed on. Your attempts to modify your personal bikes to keep riding in spite of medical issues are also inspiring to me and make me want to get out there and do the same. Best, John “wheelson”
