Stunning! They say all bids will be removed and they will only take a buy it now of $3000; funny they lack a buy it now option. I am watching the bids and thru in a little one; just want to see what happens. Since you cannot buy it from eBay, only direct, something seems off about the whole thing.

Does seem a bit odd. Bike is in LA, seller is listed as UK. Maybe a scam. Good pictures to “snare” before eBay takes it down for violating their rules. It has a bike shop sticker on the lower down tube, can’t make it out, though. Looks too clean to be hanging up for ? years. Perhaps someone over on CR recognizes it. Best, John “wheelson”

The seller has pretty rock solid feedback rating though? ... (although caution always advised). The only one close to that condition was owned by a guy in the US that used to be a member on this forum, and probably still is, but I forgot his username. I think that would be a nice addition to any retro cyclists collection, let alone a Viscount collector. Just wiping the drool from my chin. EDIT - it was 'vfrman' I was trying to recall

I don't know about this kind of thing,. but it could be that someone has hacked into the seller's picture stream and posted that 'advert' with the email on it. Just conjecture. Although how on earth is he going to ship it internationally for $36? Seems like even a slim booklet from the US costs $20 or so nowadays

They say all bids will be removed
But they have 15 bids?, which makes me feel my theory about hacking into the sellers picture stream is more likely . I will contact him now I'm going to get some popcorn and a couple of cans in for Wednesday evening when it ends - maybe put it on the big screen too

I like the cross-4 rear lacing, makes for a strong wheel. Brian

The only question is, do you ride it, hang it on the wall or put it in the National Cycle Museum?

It's a bit sad that these pictures have showed up several times on Ebay and then just disappear. vfrman has weighed in on this on a prior post. He bought this actual NOS gold Lambert and posted that they are using photos of his bike. Don't get your hopes up as this is not a legit listing.
vfrman posted this on 1/20/20: Post Options Post by vfrman on Jan 23, 2020 at 6:02am to whom it may concern; from "vfrman"...in regards to the phantom gold lambert that has been appearing on ebay over the last 2 years; i bought this gold bike 2 years ago [not associated with used gold bike i purchased within a month or 2 of same..]-someone or some people have been posting this original advert of my bike falsely on ebay at least 6 times or so over the last 2 years...i have my suspicions to the source but nothing i can prove..i queried the guy i bought it from on west coast but he seemed unconcerned and/or oblivious over it; you will notice the location of bike is always "west coast" but the location of seller varies from england, ireland, germany, etc...then when you click on "buy" the ad always disappears..be assured the bike is safely ensconsed in my house where it has not left since i received it with not a scratch since delivery [double-boxed]...my apologies for lack of pics so far [not one of my strong points]..i am turning used gold bike into a runner with gold parts and "gold=plated" parts and hope to post those as well [we only live once]...we are all just caretakers in the end..maybe some day an "international" death fork rally"?...i hope this clears up any misconceptions; cheers and happy new year from connecticut, regards, jeff

First thing I did was save the pictures, absolutely stunning! Me too with the pictures, Brian. I’ve never seen one better. If it were mine, it would be my sunniest of sunny day bikes! Hey, I’m 72, I’d just have up ride it! Best, John “wheelson”

I'd ride it, too. Half the price of a $6000 plastic Trek and infinitely more fun. Brian

I believe that vfrman, AKA Jeff is the forum member and owner of the bike. I can't say with certainty it was the same bike he bought on eBay, but it certainly looks like the same photos I recall. When people with good ratings post stuff like this, it is, as has been said, usually the result of a hacked account and when notified, eBay yanks the ad.
EDIT: Oops, sorry I skipped over triitout's post.

Exactly the same posting word for word but a new lister, expecting “one born every minute” I guess. Best, John “wheelson”
