I just have to free up some space, and so one way or another these have got to go.
The mid 70's Trusty/Viscount folder was going to be a project...it's all there and it works, but needs some serious buffing to get the rust off. I think the tyres hold air despite looking a bit perished. Comes with Plescher rack on the back. Free to a good home.
If any of you came to the DFR in Rolleston, you might have had a ride on my other one of these...really fun to ride and we keep the other one in our van for when we go out for the day. Folds down small enough but don't expect titanium Brompton weight , but no mistake these are cult classics that every Viscount historian has a secret passion for!
The Dawes Shadow (1980's?) used to be a regular ride for me 15 years ago, but its only 20.5 frame and I think 26" wheels, but it rides well. Tyres hold air I think, but again, perished beyond safe. Again, free to a good home.
The Univega is a bike I saved out of a skip, and I really like the look of it but it needs a few things doing (nothing major). The head set grinds and needs new bearings maybe more, and the seat post was stuck in there and I didn't do the neatest job getting it out and caused a bit of frame damage, but I think saveable . All the components are nice and it's a really sound bike.
Free if you want it. I do need to get the clip-in rack holder off the front bars though and the dirt catcher off it. Other than that it's complete...wheels are good quality and I think the tyres are Panaracer and good.
Here is a project that I got 80% with and then realised I just don't have space for.
Nice Aerospace Pro just needing an RD and wheels I think. I think off the top of my head that it is the Death Fork.
I need to take the cable clips off the top bar as I need those for something else and the crank dust caps, but the other components can stay on there ,Shimano 600 (Arabesque I think?) shifters. 23.5"
£25 for that one.
Then I have a Raleigh Pioneer (a mid 90's casual, flat bars, nothing special , but I seem to recall the RD might be done for or something that prevented my son riding it) 23" I think
Free to a good home. No pictures of that as it's at the back of the shed.
Message for more pics or info.
Pick up from Burton on Trent. I can't post out...I did that before with a bike or 2 for Stella and it's a painful experience, never again.
If anyone comes and takes all the bikes off me then the Aerospace is free. I am that keen to make space.
Oh, and can I just add...This 'offer' is for forum members to begin with and then we will see what happens.
If you haven't posted or join just for the 'offer' then the Aerospace is reasonably priced at £50, the others are £15 each.
