Wow Rick - that looks beautiful. Nice and clean and fresh. What's the story with that? How'd you come about it? What did the previous owner say? I'm always interested in the story

Well I was Looking thru local Craigs List ads for A another possible basket case for parts or any thing Really ,Now that I am aware of the brand. This Guy prolly in his late sixtes, said He had bought Her from the orig Owner and had a local shop do a tune up at that time,He said it didnt get ridden that much, new tires and tape is new from Him aswell. The bike was about 100 miles away in San DIEGO ca .He said the OG owner was a Veteran that had gotten to Old to Ride anymore. It appears to have been inside its whole life. The spokes have some Rust which seems strange as I can find no other .Really Neat bike very Happy to have adopted Her.CHEERS!

Just looked even closer at it and it gets better every time I look. We never see anything quite so mint in the uk. That is a beauty.
I think you'll enjoy riding that, it was a lightweight bike for it's time in the mid 70's and is still pretty light as things go. But a great ride for sure. Enjoy!

Thats about the condition I brought my bike it’s identical , but my one still had the original tyres , bar tape. its a bit more used now. I have had a problem with a pedal , the thing fell off and i needed a rescue. I will fix it some day during the Covid lockdown if all the needle rollers are there.

Even if all the rollers are not there, it can easily be salvaged. The whole bearing assembly is from Torrington / Koyo, I believe and you can get one from any local commercial bearing house. Somewhere in the technical threads, I think, there's a link or two to information on the roller / needle bearings.
Good luck, Frank
