I fished a 2hp Wolf air compressor out of a skip before Christmas - just got around to checking it over and get it back up working.
Then started looking at grit blasting some things and decided against it due to the masks and gear needed to make it safe. Went via car maintenance DIY forums, to using other kinds of blasting and then an intriguing post about removing rust using 1 part molasses to 9 parts water leave in a container for a week or so and clean off with wire brush.
Has anyone done this? What were the results?
