Loads of stuff has the Viscount name - aircraft, biscuits, musical instruments - so I'm not really surprised.
I think it's your blog from about 2012 that explains how the bike brand was named after the aircraft.

www.cigarety.by/img/HV0000404.jpgA popular brand or was a popular brand of cigarettes in America (Mexico too), were Vice Roy, so I looked up and that is in the link. I do see some much older images than the above link of Viscount cigarettes... but the links are broken but they still show up at bing.com images if one is curious.

Cheers Rob, obviously I should be shopping in a decent supermarket instead of Waitrose.

Perhaps Yamaha got the distribution deal with Viscount bicycles by mistake? Haha (see other thread)
