Great read. It's just sad that it has to be that way

I use to travel some in Mexico in a pretty carefree manner, that's years ago. Now, I would not even care to go to some of the places I did before. In a way, I can relate to the challenges facing the author. One has to study her itinerary. I'd not make it a habit.

From what I hear first and second hand , Iran has some of the most friendly hospitable people on the planet.
I don't think it's even possible to get in the country on a western visa anymore is it?

Iran is the country I would not be too concerned with per her total voyage. We knew vaguely and only through the internet, a person who visited Iran, Paul's thing are Indian Clubs and Iran is a home of that art and sport but when he communicated by facebook, I was under the impression that he was being very guarded in his comments. Paul is from Australia. www.facebook.com/indianclubs1I'm not into Indian Clubs as much as I was though it is interesting. It is good for shoulder rehab among other possibilities.
