Good man, Kev. Love the 'Aerosport'. :-)
If you find a Sprint, go for it! Or an Indy500.
So, this is my 200th post. A sign that I need a life, methinks.

Been on a ride pub-training with a mate and his mates. Here's the proof: I'm also thinking about bringing my spanner, in case someone needs a nut tightened. I had some more pictures, but they're apparently too big. Will post them on my blog instead.

Stella, refering to your blog site,I was told that "the alcohol makes the tools smaller"! Obviously this does not apply to Viscount riders. Cheers, Pete.

Finally managed to get out for a quick spin, the bike performed flawlessly can't say the same for the rider though.

Stoatie, that bike looks just wonderful I'm really loving the grey. Every time I see it, I fall a little bit more in love with it. Pissing down in London, so I rode my Mamachari.

It's the valley road down to Porthtowan, there's loads of old mining buildings like that dotted all over the place. I thought I should take a more leisurely ride and try and get some photo's whilst I'm out. The problem with heading down to Porthtowan is to get out I either go back the way I came or tackle Chapel hill, seeing as I'm now outfitted with a tiny front ring I attempted the hill got halfway up and had to have sit down on the corner, recovered then attempted part 2 found a bench outside a church hall at about 3 quarters of the way up and had to recompose myself for 10 minutes. Not having been on the bike for over a month has certainly taken it's toll.

veloviewer.com/segment/771853/Chapel+Hill,+Porthtowan Yes, I can see why a recovery stop or two might have ben necessary. Look at that vertical bit near the summit on the gradeient pofile! Knees have just buckled in sympathy.

Always remember you're not in a race, unless it's nearly closing time!Just enjoy the scenery, the fresh air,and the ride.Just feel a bit sorry for the poor sods who are stuck where they don't want to be and you're enjoying pure freedom!!!!! Cheers, Pete.

Cheers, Pete. +1 to that Pete. Read something recently by a well-known chap in cycling circles who said he doesn't advocate having insanely low gears as he reckons it's OK to get off the bike and walk occasionally. Heresy! I hear you gasp. Jehovah! says someone else (stone that man would you? Ta.) But I think it's true, you notice more, and appreciate the bike more, if you occasionally walk difficult bits of a long (or even short) ride. Love the bike Stoatie. You can never have too many holes in your chainrings for mine. b

There's an interesting thing about holes in things;-it not only makes them lighter, but, stronger as well! "How come?" I hear you ask.Have you ever successfully torn anything across the conveniently provided perforations?Stamps, bog roll, the list is endless. Cheers Pete.

I'm just back from a nice 2-hour ride on the blue Sport. Something like 25 miles or so. Nice and easy with a few sprints. Lovely weather. Battersea Park again. It seems a good route for me. Really need to find a different one, though.

You had a good day for it.Has anyone else noticed that UK summers seem to be getting windier? Last few have been progressively worse. The Regents canal has been improved massively since I first walked down there in '72.Later,for my sins,I worked on the Limehouse Link project,it was grim around there then. The second week I was there someone was murdered in the entrance to one of the buildings near the dock, not even a "yuppy"! There were no clean white ducks about then, maybe a few oily looking cormerants. At least the canal now provides a haven from traffic. Cheers, Pete.

Well, 40 years is a long time. :-) Your description sounds like there's a good crime/mystery story in it.

DFR2 Training: well, that would be John and I having a delicious pint (or two) in the sun. Of course we both rode our bikes into the city.
