This is Biscuit now , as I bought it , except the saddle , & handlebar tape , I'm off out for a last ride tomorrow before sending the frame & forks away for a re-paint. I have to say it is my favourite bike .

Wow, it looks way better already just with the bar tape changed.
Glad you're enjoying the ride! Great to hear you've put it in good hands for the re-spray and going for the original colour is spot on. I can't wait to see it.

Mercian are famous for their paint, should look excellent. I wonder if they could paint the seat post bands instead of transfers / whether this would be better?

there is a bit of the original colour in the bottom bracket for them to colour match If the original colour is that rather bright green, Viscount described it as Linden Green. This seems to be a standard colour. My 600ex is this colour (the bike's on its own in the foreground of some of the DF1 pictures). I found that Ford use a colour with this name and I have sourced a tin of touch-up paint, although I haven't yet checked how close it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good morning Mr cusqueno. would it be possible for you to take some more pictures of you 600ex for reference ? Ie the decals for size and location I'm not sure if mine should have chrome forks or not the picture I'm going by the frame has no chrome but has red decals .
Foss
Wiped the fork with acetone there is the original colour there but no chrome would have been nice to have seen some shiny stuff, but it saves me some pennies should it have needed re-doing

For ease of reference, here's my Linden Green 600ex. Full 600ex ('Arabesque') group set. As you remember: I love that bike. Really, really beautiful colour. Foss: looks like a comfy ride. Nothing's better than a bike you sit on feel like becoming one with it.
