Perhaps it's just my aging eyes, but that fork looks cracked, in the rear, above the brake bolt.

Nice set of pics Scott. Do you ever fancy a ride in the Velodrome there? I looked into the session requirements.Worked out reasonably enough. I am going up to Manchester Velodrome in late July to ride. Frank - you refer to this spot? Is there something going on there Scott? fork by Sooper 8, on Flickr

Had a 2 hour session round the Derby velodrome on a works team building event last year. Enjoyed it, first time on a fixed wheel.
The front fork has kind of a 'u' shaped lug on the rear face, not a crack (i think)!

If you're not sure, Scott, I'd make sure it's not propagating to the bottom or front of the fork. Stella found a crack in a steel fork last fall (?), as I recall. Murphy's Law and all that.
Otherwise, it looks to have been a nice ride, and it's a very pretty bike, nicely kept up.
