He rode around the world for 6 years, slept in police stations, churches and wherever else; just thought I'd at least, pad the message board with a related topic. (I actually know of someone who travelled rough and I believe got permission to sleep overnight in a few gaol cells.)
I've read a few touring books, I would love to go on a long tour. The most I've done is probably about 350 miles round trip.
Above emboldened, he changed bike chains 12 times. He seemed to enjoy his trip.
The link seems to be working, I will check it from time to time to make sure it continues to do so.

"The world is better than expected " is a great attitude/motto. I remember going travelling in Europe for just over a month in 1985, sometimes without a place to sleep. I met the the most amazing welcoming people and began to view the world differently from then on.

Great article. Living untethered for a stretch and discovering the real world is something most of us can only dream about. Kudos to Dr Stephen for pursuing his dream!
