I've been scouting some potential routes for this today...
Some great news- the majority could be really flat. Flatness is a rare thing around here. But...there is a long steep hill at the start or the end, or both depending on how we do it. I'm planning about the same length as last year with break half way.(approx 25 miles in total)
I can't quite work out yet how to make it a circular route. I personally prefer not to ride out out one way and then just reverse to come home.- but I will explore further in the next few weekends. Although this is not many miles from my home, for some reason, I have never ridden around here.
I looked at one option stopping roughly half way at a great farm shop cafe frequented by cyclists (but the don't have a licence to sell alcohol) Or, there is a pub, also looked like plenty of cyclists take a break there, but it doesn't have that much outdoor seating and could be impossible to get a seat if it's a nice day.
More info in the coming weeks.

Looks like a bidon full of emergency cider then. As long as we stop, that'll do. Cheers, Pete.

I guess the pub and cafe will be hoping we don't grace them with our presence....we might jinx them... The pub that we stopped at last year went bust and has closed down. After what must be a 100yrs + of serving ale. The curse of the death fork!

The pair are still there...I passed by on Sunday. Bit too heavy for me to lift one.
