Two beautiful bikes, and you certainly were stylin' in your Viscount jersey. Where and how did you score that one? Here on Chicago's north side, the city and county are rehabbing an unused rail line into a new elevated park. When it's completed, it should be about 7-8 miles long, I think. We'll have to wait and see if the suburbs along the line continue the work. I frequently ride the Green Bay Trail, which follows along side an active rail line. It start's north of the city, in Evanston IL, and runs north for nine miles. Green Bay TrailFrank

Looks like a great weekend Michael. We have a few bike paths made from converted railway lines, as well as some which use old canal tow paths (these tend to be rougher ). My main memory of Jones beach is a few good evenings at the Oak Beach Inn
