Same Brian to be honest, I’ve done little riding and a lot of fixing. Once the folder is with my parents I’m going to make more effort to get out and ride more. Great points. My situation is even worse because of my bike shop gig and working on my own bike projects so riding comes in a distant third. Hopefully the weather will be better and I can actually ride the 10 mile round trip rail trail to the shop. Not ideal, but better than nothing. Best, John “w”
Cheers Jim

Excellent. And you never have to look for a restroom or roadside tree.

This one is actually cool. I fear some inattentive sport utility might squish it.

I’ll be pleased to see the end of this Folder project, every step has been problematic. Went for a test ride and the drive side pedal felt like it was bent, got it back in the stand and tried a different pedal, then noticed the crank arm has the slightest bend in it on the end. Thankfully I had a spare in the shed so swapped that. New tyres arrived which were a battle to get on, the old Raleigh Record ones can easily be fitted by hand but these Schwalbe ones require tyre levers and brute force. Then the inner tube on the rear decided it has a puncture on the valve stem Of course, nobody stocks 20 1 3/8 inner tubes anymore so I had to order them online as well, more delay.

Perhaps the best thing about being bike obsessed is that one usually has so many outstanding projects that the troublesome one(s) get laid aside until the pain fades a bit. Best, John “w”

It is Jim, thanks. Its one of those I didn’t want to be defeated on so I’ve kept going.

It is Jim, thanks. Its one of those I didn’t want to be defeated on so I’ve kept going. Good for you, Franco. I’m just a bit jaded after working full time this week at the shop while the owner is away. At home I can set my projects aside while at the shop a promise is a promise. Sad that new bikes and parts are in short supply. I must get my bikes ready for DFR, no excuses - I’ve hoarded everything I need! Best, John “w”

Best, John “w” Same John, get projects for other people out of the way then I need to get the Aerospace Pro tuned up. I bought a smaller TA inner chainring last year I need to fit to. Looking forward to DFR

I wouldn’t pay $99 but then, I appreciate they rarely come up in the US. I wonder if those wheels will clean up, cool that they are set up for some off road action.

Sad to say, some folks can't tell the difference; always a problem with good bikes.

I known this is a Peugeot , not a Raleigh 20 - but the photo is so good I had to post it. If anyone says they don't envy those rear panniers then I don't believe you! IMG_7024 by
